  A warm and welcoming church in a beautiful historic building. Seriously, if you have the chance, stop by sometime just to see what it looks like inside.

  I visited MVP church in June and thoroughly enjoyed the service. My reception by the greeter, members and the pastor was warm and welcoming without being overbearing. Early Sunday morning they have a ministry serving the homeless with a place to shower and clean up - I am sure that was a blessing during the hot, humid weather. The concern shown by members for those in need was apparent and ministry to others in Jesus' name is an obvious priority for the congregation. The building is historic and beautiful, but the real treat was worshiping with Mount Vernon Place while away from my home congregation.

  I was on a long business trip and needed a place to worship. Instantly felt peace and love in this church. I visit whenever I come back into DC. Beautiful church and welcoming congregation.
